from a competition to starting up to getting backed by DTU and IIM-B to accquiring 250+ users to failure - quite the journey, but here's the design side of things. i handled brand and tech.

Mission - Payments App, For Gen-Z
FaekBank is a UPI app that rewards users to stick to their budget. Their mission? To empower its users to take control of their finances by flipping the script on traditional fintech. Faekbank rewards discipline, challenges overspending, and celebrates bold individuality.
Faekbank speaks directly to its audience - the young and coming Gen-Z. They are skeptical of traditional financial norms, value independence, and seek tools that resonate with their desire for control and authenticity. This audience craves brands that understand their need to break free from convention.



Visual Identity - An Exciting Experience, by Design
Faekbank’s design is unapologetically red. The visual identity leverages stark contrasts, minimalist layouts, and bold typography to reflect the app's ethos of clarity and purpose. The use of red is intentional, symbolizing rebellion and empowerment, directly challenging the green and blue-dominated fintech landscape.
Voice & Tone
Brutal, on-the-nose, and anti-establishment, Faekbank speaks like a bold friend who calls out the status quo and makes you rethink your habits. It’s unapologetic, witty, and always challenges norms to inspire action.

Faekbank’s merchandise is designed to reflect individuality and financial discipline. Each piece is crafted to make a statement and resonate with the wearer’s personal journey





Strategy - Minimum Product, Maximum Vision
Making the product fairly simple, easy-to-use and explain, we a path was paved to spread the word like wildfire, through word-of-mouth. but converting users would take a lot more work, so we delved deep into the brand message and vision. Faekbank disrupts the fintech space with a multi-platform strategy that challenges the status quo. From quirky Instagram stories and rebellious merchandise to eye-catching metro station banners, every touchpoint delivers bold messaging and inspires curiosity. This strategy amplifies the brand’s mission to reward financial discipline while standing out in a crowded market.
